The Ndi Enugu Scotland Association (NESA) is a distinguished community of Ndi Enugu residing in Scotland, dedicated to fostering unity, cultural heritage, and progressive development both within their Scottish diaspora and their homeland in Enugu
Our Goals
Here are some of our main goals and objectives
- Development
- To facilitate contacts and to promote cultural interaction and understanding among members
- Community
- To promote association and sense of belonging amongst all Igbos of Enugu origin in Aberdeen and Scotland
- Progress
- To provide support to members living within Scotland and surrounding communities.
- Family
- To work for the peace and progress of NDI ENUGU and their families in Scotland.
- Enlightenment
- To promote awareness of the Igbo culture amongst children born to Ndi Enugu families in the UK, whilst encouraging them to play their full role in the wider British society.
- Integration
- To advance the education of the public in Scotland and its environs, about Igbo history, language, music, art, literature, and culture.
- Collaboration
- To foster good relation and collaboration with other organizations and communities with similar interests
- Membership
- To execute, facilitate and promote charitable and non-profit work in Enugu state

Supporting and collaborating with each other in any legitimate business ventures for the success of our families such as collective investments in Enugu State..
Collaborating & being a strong partner to Umu Ada Enugu association in any legitimate venture or activities they embark on
Harnessing any legitimate opportunities that we see or are invited to participate in in Enugu State Nigeria
Support & promote the educational and mental well-being of the less privileged people in Enugu state through but not limited to offering educational scholarships and or enabling private small scale business ventures where possible
Promoting the spirit of togetherness and brotherhood between NDI ENUGU and their families through social interactions
Serving as the umbrella association under which Igbo men and women of Enugu origin, their wives, husbands, and children may come together in achieving the common goal of understanding and self-help
Keeping Igbo traditions and customs alive as celebrated in our rich festivals and cultural institutions.
Promoting the teaching of Igbo language and culture as well as any other beneficial subjects to our children in Scotland.
Discouraging acrimony between members and their families by outsiders
Fostering cultural understanding between Igbos and people from other Nationalities through the promotion of cultural exchange.
